Next stop Etosha. We are staying at the park for 6 nights and spending our days visiting waterholes and watching amazing animals. We'll post our photos here so keep checking back. 😊
Etosha National Park is located in northwestern Namibia and is one of the largest national parks in Africa. It spans an area of 22,270 km2 (8,600 sq mi) and gets its name from the large Etosha pan which is almost entirely within the park.
Etosha is Namibia’s foremost wildlife sanctuary. The landscape is unique and varied and subsequently home to a wide variety of animals. These include lion, elephant, leopard, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, two kinds of zebra, eland and many more species of wildlife. In particular, it is home to several threatened and endangered species including black rhinoceros. The number and variety of animals you can see freely roaming and drinking at waterholes is amazing.
